Delete your account

You can delete your Vechilo account and all of your business pages at any time, directly from the app or the web dashboard. This page explains how, what gets removed, and how long it takes.

Deleting your Vechilo account
You can delete your Vechilo account at any time, from either the mobile app or the web dashboard. You do not need to contact us first.
Deleting your account also deletes every business page you own. If you only want to take a single page offline, unpublish it from the dashboard instead — that keeps your account and your other pages intact.
From the Vechilo Android app
Open the app while signed in, then:
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete my account".
- Confirm on the "Delete your account?" prompt by tapping "Delete account".
- You are signed out immediately once the deletion completes.
From the web dashboard
Sign in at vechilo.in, then:
- Go to Dashboard → Settings.
- Scroll to the "Danger Zone" panel.
- Click "Delete Account".
- Confirm on the "Are you absolutely sure?" dialog by clicking "Yes, Delete Account & Businesses".
If you cannot sign in
Email us from the address registered on the account, using the contact email at the bottom of this page. Include the registered email or mobile number and the name of at least one business page on the account.
We may ask for additional confirmation before acting, so that nobody else can delete your account. Once the request is verified, the 30-day deletion timeline below applies.
What deletion removes
Deleting your account applies to your account and to all businesses you own. The following are removed from public view immediately:
- Your account profile and sign-in credentials.
- Every business page you own, including its products, posts, business hours, theme, and social links.
- Your public page URL — the page stops loading and is removed from the Explore directory and from search listings we control.
- Customer inquiry records stored for you in the dashboard, including inquirer names and phone numbers.
Timing, and what is kept temporarily
Your account is deactivated and your pages go offline as soon as you confirm. This part is immediate and cannot be undone — we cannot restore a deleted account or reactivate its pages.
Personal information is then deleted or anonymised within 30 days, as described in the Data retention section of our Privacy Policy. Encrypted backups may hold deleted information for a short additional period before they are rotated out.
We may retain limited records for longer where the law requires it — for example, transaction or tax records relating to a paid plan. Anything retained on that basis is kept only for as long as the obligation lasts.
Conversations that already happened on WhatsApp are not part of Vechilo and are not affected by deleting your account. WhatsApp messages live on your device and your customers' devices; delete them in WhatsApp itself.
Your page URL after deletion
The address you chose (for example vechilo.in/your-shop) is released when the account is deleted, and may later be claimed by another business. We cannot guarantee you the same URL if you sign up again.
